Welcome to This Week in Victoria! Each week, Brother Gary Moses and Chris Doelle sit down and go over all the happenings in the Crossroads.

Wednesday (Today)

- Farmers Market: Held at the Patty Dawson Public Health Center from 9 AM to 12 PM. It occurs every Wednesday and Saturday.
- VFW stuff.
- KC Bingo stuff.
- Game Night at the Victoria Public Library: Starts at 5:30 PM.
- Flood Victim Donations: Debbie Bennett Green School of Dance at South Texas is still taking items for flood victims, and they will deliver a load tomorrow. Warriors Weekend is also taking donations, and monetary donations are accepted at several different places.
- Zoo Crafters Day at the Texas Zoo: Occurs twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, at 10 AM.

Thursday (Tomorrow)

- Generals home stand: The Generals kick back into action and have a four-day home stand from Thursday to Sunday.
- Adult Craft Night at the Library: Starts at 5:30 PM.
- Cross Cruis’s Car Club Meeting: Held in the evening.
- Restoration House Ministries Banquet.
- Ranching and Roping at the Library: Kids get to try throwing ropes and catching things. Goliad State Park people will be there with this activity. It starts at 2:00 PM.

Friday (July 11th)

- 7-Eleven’s Birthday: Celebrated on July 11th, which is 7/11. People can get a free small Slurpee.
- Victoria Public Library’s Talks: Features local romance author MJ Marley at 6:00 PM.
- Generals Game: Another free ticket night for the Generals.
- Children’s Discovery Museum Fun Friday: Occurs at 10:00 AM and 4:30 PM.
- Science with Lionel Basil at Victoria Public Library: Science labs at 10:00 AM, part of “Fun Friday”.

Saturday

- Victoria Latin Bowlers Tournament: Hosted by the Victoria Latin Bowlers group at Century Lanes. Teams from all over the state participate, with constant bowling throughout the day. It continues into Sunday.
- Crossroads Wheelchair Classic Softball Tournament: Hosted by the Bad News Chairs at the Softball Field on 3105 Vines Street, CAD DC Fields. It’s a round-robin tournament with about four or five participating teams. It continues into Sunday.
- Touch a Truck at the Library: Starts at 11:00 AM.
- Generals Game: Another free ticket night sponsored by Victory Auto Group.
- Family Discovery Saturday at the Museum of the Coastal Bend: The theme is “Sailing the Sea,” focusing on water, ships, and sailing. It runs from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
- Farmers Market: Held at the Patty Dawson Public Health Center from 9 AM to 12 PM. It occurs every Wednesday and Saturday.
- Zoo Crafters Day at the Texas Zoo: Occurs twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, at 10 AM.
- Market Days in Goliad: From 9 AM to 3 PM.

Sunday

- Generals Game: Healthcare workers night.
- Victoria Latin Bowlers Tournament: Last day of their tournament.
- Crossroads Wheelchair Classic Softball Tournament: Last day of their tournament.

Monday

- Pork Chop Fundraiser: For the Victoria County Sheriff’s Reserve Deputy Organization at the Victoria County Sheriff’s Office. Cost is $10 a plate, and proceeds go towards scholarships for students at Texas A&M University Victoria and Victoria College.

Upcoming Events & Special Announcements:

TLSN Legends Golf Classic: This golf tournament, which supports people in UT athletics who may be facing hard times, will be held on Sunday, September 15th, at Great Hills Country Club in Austin, Texas.

- Registration begins at 11:00 AM, with tee time around noon, and an awards ceremony at 6:00 PM.
- Every team will have the opportunity to play with a UT sports legend, including basketball, football, tennis players, and coaches like Rudy Tomjanovich.
- It is open to fans, friends, alumni, business leaders, and golf enthusiasts, especially those with an interest in UT athletics.
- Participants can expect a premium course experience, awards, prizes, exclusive photo opportunities, food, and drinks.
