Welcome to This Week in Victoria! Each week, Brother Gary Moses and Chris Doelle sit down and go over all the happenings in the Crossroads.

Here’s a breakdown by day:

Thursday:

  • Lions Club meeting at Aerocrafters.
  • John Stormont lecture at the Museum of Coastal Bend.
  • Hot Rod Nights at the Dairy Treat from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
  • Learning Lab at the Victoria Public Library from 4:30 to 5:30 PM.
  • Victoria Livestock Show carnival kicks off.

Friday:

  • Chuck Wagon breakfast, hosted by Frost bank from 7:30 to 9:30 AM.

  • Groundbreaking ceremony for the Billy T Cattan Recovery Outreach Center’s new building at 10:30 AM, located on Bloomington Highway next to the Texan store.
  • Goat roping at the arena at 6:00 PM.
  • Aerocrafters hosts Chrysland Arthur’s.
  • Carnival continues.
  • Children’s Cover Museum has Fun Fridays with Silly Heart Puppets.
  • UHV baseball at Riverside Stadium, with a double-header, time to be announced.

Saturday:

  • Victoria Livestock Show Pony Show at the arena at 8:00 AM.
  • Wiener dog races at the arena at 2:00 PM.
  • Queen Victoria Magic at the community center dome at 5:00 PM.
  • Benefit fundraiser for George Robing at Club Western, with music by Gary Prukop.
  • Texas Coast Classic Rock Benefit concert at the Victoria Fine Arts Center; doors open at 5:00 PM, concert at 6:00 PM. Admission is $15, $5 for students, and attendees are encouraged to bring an item for the food pantry.
  • Gospel Explosion concert at St. Peter’s Church at 7:00 PM.
  • Live music at U Jay Welch Farms.
  • Farmers market from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Patty Dodson Public Health Center.
  • Joshua Martin band at Moonshine Drinkery.
  • Gem and Rocks Fossil Show from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at 6705 Zach Lentz Parkway, believed to be Homewood Suites Hilton.
  • New exhibit at the Howlet Oak Gallery in Hallettsville, featuring 20-25 artists.
  • Art show for Black History Month at the United Methodist Church, with music from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and a program starting at 2:00 PM.

Saturday and Sunday:

  • Gem and Rocks Fossil Show from 9 AM to 5 PM at 6705 Zach Lens Parkway.
