Season 2 Episode 3
Week one of the Texas High School Football season kicked of with a bang. Third Coast Gridiron and host Marc Henry are back this week to talk about it.Marc starts out with a few scores from around the Houston area, including victories by Katy, North Shore, Atascocita and Katy Paetow.
Marc explains how Katy is still the team to beat , while North Shore’s defense is was dominant in defeating Shadow Creek. Atascocita also shut down Klein Collins to start off the season with a win. Marc explains that if the Eagles go up to DFW and beat Allen in week two, they have chance to send a message to the rest of the state that they are a contender for a State Championship.
Marc talks about the Heights Bulldogs, who are a favorite to come out of HISD. The Bulldogs came up short in a shootout in North Texas against Cleburne 43-42. Senior QB Jalen Morrison continues to play great and is off to a good start. Marc explains that Coach Dixon and the
Bulldogs are on their way to a good season despite the loss.
The Third Coast Gridiron Flo Football Player of the Week is Connor Weigman of Brigdeland HS. Connor is the number one rated quarterback in the class of 2022 and is headed to Texas A&M. He had over 500 yards of total offense, with seven total touchdowns in the first half against a very good Klein Cain team
