Welcome to another exciting episode of the Texas Legacy Support Network Show! Hosted by Chris Doelle, TLSN is a 501c3 Texas nonprofit corporation dedicated to sharing the history of all Longhorn Sports and offering temporary financial support to former Longhorn student athletes facing hardship.

In this episode of the Texas Legacy Support Network Show (TLSN), highlighting their dual mission of preserving Longhorn Sports history and offering financial aid to former student-athletes, Chris Doelle sits down with John Danks, a former University of Texas basketball player. Danks shares anecdotes from his childhood in a Kentucky funeral home, his journey to becoming a Longhorn under Coach Abe Lemons, and his experiences with the team’s historic 1977-78 season, which included winning the NIT. He also discusses his post-college career and his family’s athletic achievements, including his sons’ professional baseball careers and his daughter’s All-American volleyball career. The podcast also promotes the upcoming TLSN Legends Golf Classic, an event designed to support the organization’s mission.
