Austin, Texas — The Texas Legacy Support Network (TLSN) is proud to welcome University of Texas tennis standout Cynthia Sampson‑Shipper as one of 23 celebrity “Legends” leading a foursome at the inaugural TLSN Legends Golf Classic, set for September 15, 2025, at Great Hills Country Club. A fierce competitor for the Longhorns from 1978 to 1982, Sampson‑Shipper served as team captain in her junior and senior years. She led UT to its first Southwest Conference title in 1981 and was named team MVP in 1982.

After graduation, she embarked on a successful career with Wilson Sporting Goods and later held leadership roles with the Dallas Tennis Association
